Full peer-reviewed paper submission Full peer-reviewed papers will be published in the Nordic Journal of Architectural Research.
The Nordic Journal of Architectural Research represents a pluralist research and publishes original academic contributions in the area of architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture. The journal publishes scientific papers by a blind peer review system. Two senior researchers will review every paper. All reviewers are recognised researchers. The journal supports academic freedom and scientific independence. Submitted paper should not have been published or submitted for publication in another forum. To submit a paper to The Nordic Journal of Architectural Research please take into consideration the official instructions to authors. The due for submission of full peer-reviwed papers based on the presented conference papers is 15 July 2012. Poster requirements If You are taking part in poster sessions, please download template and read this guidelines. Deadline for submission of the Poster is May 30, 2012 Requirements Your poster must meet the following requirements: • Only use the official poster template which can be downloaded here: poster templates. • Entry must take the form of one panel as PDF (Portable Document Format with embedded fonts) file which when printed at 100% size would be 1000mm (width) x 900mm (hight). • Content of the poster must only be your submitted abstract. • Language on the poster must be in English only. • Mere introductions to cities and municipalities, tourist information or advertising will not be permitted. Please note that the organizing committee may revoke display permission if your poster does not arrive by specified submission date (May 30, 2012). Submission Digital data only. Submit your poster as PDF with embedded fonts to organizing committee. Presentations requirements All participants included to the program of speeches with an oral presentation should send a presentation to the organizing committee. Presentation files must be in PowerPoint (*.ppt, *.pptx) or Adobe PDF (*.pdf). Format page — landscape 16:9. Multimedia content must be embeded to the presentation file (no external references), all bitmap images must be pre-optimized, or compressed in the presentation editor for the smooth performance and fast slides relay. Slide switching — manual. PDF presets: defalt full screen, page fit scale and single page display Call for abstracts The scientific output will be in the form of a peer-reviewed conference abstract proceedings (will be completed before the conference) and a special issue in one of the peer reviewed publications (Urban Forestry and Urban Greening, Landscape and Ecological Engineering or Nordic Architectural Research etc.) after the conference. Editors of these scientific journals will be invited to the conference. Participants are invited to submit abstracts related to themes as announced. Editorial committee Dr. Diane Menzies Preparation of Abstracts Abstracts are required for all presentations, including posters. The abstract should comprise three parts (Title, Authors (including name of organisation, mailing address and email address), and Abstract), minimum 300, maximum 500 words (please, use the template). Abstract file must be in *.doc or *.rtf format (not OpenOffice and not-graphic-friendly *.docx). Please, attach all used images (maximum 3) as separated *.emf, *.tiff or *.jpg files (without compression) named according to the text with desired printing size in 300 dpi resolution. Not suitable images will not be included in conference proceedings. The due date for abstracts is 20 March 2012. Conference proceedings based on abstracts will go through a review process and will be published in English. Selected full papers will be published in peer-review journals after the conference.
